I need my order by this weekend. Can you rush it?

Is it possible? Potentially. Will it cost extra? Certainly.

Unfortunately, there are only so many hours in a day that we can work with. We have stayed up through the wee hours of the night working hard to rush orders for clients before, but at other times, there are just certain prior obligations which may not allow us to finish your order early. However, we understand the need for certain orders to be rushed at times and will do our best to work with you to accomplish it as so.

I have a really specific question about color, design, or size, how can I get in touch with you?

What sets your furniture apart? Why don't I just buy from IKEA or Wayfair?

How do I protect my furniture and keep it looking great?

I want to make changes to my order. Can I do that?

COMMUNICATION

Those who do not appreciate variations and imperfections should not purchase handcrafted furniture.

Solid wood may expand and contract due to changes in temperature and humidity.

Throughout seasonal humidity changes, you may notice and feel a small seam in between the boards on your table. A small amount of this is normal because wood acts like a sponge and expands/contracts throughout the year.

You may also notice up to â…›” - ¼“ movement in length/width/thickness in your furniture as well. Throughout the seasons certain pieces may also incur a minor bow/flex due to the nature of wood movement. This is all normal with solid wood furniture. If you notice a significant amount of wood movement that may seem abnormal, reach out to our team and we will discuss what is normal vs. what requires repair.

You will still see the beautiful and natural open knots on jointed table tops. We do not offer machine manufactured perfection - no two pieces are exactly alike since GD Woodworking & Design furniture is crafted to your order specifications.

We celebrate the true uniqueness of every piece of solid wood furniture that is built and finished by hand in our wood shop. It is our hope that you will as well.

Lead Times

With your order you were given a lead time. With many orders in our queue at any given time, lead times are purely estimates.

At times, we will be able to get orders complete and to customers before the estimated lead time given, and at other times, issues may happen in production that delays orders beyond lead times. The lead time that we have given you is our best guess at when you will get your product.

It's better to be in receipt of a product a few weeks later than quoted and for it to be up to quality standards (since you plan to have it for years to come), then it is to get it on time and it fails quality standards. We cannot guarantee a specific delivery date.

Please know this if you're placing an order with us in hopes of getting it by a special occasion such as a party, birthday, holiday, etc... We will always do our best to accommodate, but we cannot guarantee anything in terms of delivery date. Please understand this before placing an order with us.

When Your Furniture is Complete

If pickup is agreed upon, and should the customer fail to pick up their furniture order within 15 days of notification of availability, a warehousing fee of $100 per week will be incurred until the order is collected. GD Woodworking and Design, LLC reserves the right to dispose of the items or use them to their discretion after 90 days of continued non-collection, with no liability for loss or damage.
